The UAE Classical Talents Series

Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi presents the UAE Classical Talents, a series of chamber music concerts fully dedicated to UAE based artists. The series aims at giving local artists the chance to perform and express their art on UAE scenes. The first concert of the series will feature three talented chamber music artists; pianist Ina Chareli, violinist Eva Gräsbeck and cellist Clara Asuaje in a beautiful repertoire by Mendelssohn, Chausson and Rachmaninov.

The program will be presented by Stephane Ferrault, concert curator and presenter, who will give another dimension to the concert, through stories and anecdotes about the works and the composers.

Stéphane

Stéphane, a French national, was born in Paris in 1966. He developed a passion for classical music at a very early age, studied the piano and the clarinet.
In 2008, and after spending years in the corporate life in Europe and the Middle East, he decided to pursue his passion for classical music by organizing concerts in Chantilly, France, and since moving to the UAE, in Dubai in partnership with the Alliance Française and in Abu Dhabi in partnership with SUAD.
He’s also the manager of the Emirates Community Symphonic Orchestra (ECSO).

Ina Chareli

Ina Chareli, native from Georgia, had an active career as performer since the age of 7. She has collaborated with the Georgian Symphony Orchestra, Armenian Symphony, Kyiv Symphony, London Symphony, London Philharmonic and many others.
She performed on UAE stages such as the Dubai Opera, Dubai Alliance Francaise, Abu Dhabi Music Festival, NYUAD, American University of Sharjah and Steinway Hall Dubai.
Her future projects will include recording all concertos by Rachmaninov with the Georgian Symphony Orchestra.

Eva Gräsbeck grew up in a renowned musical family, thus beginning a lifetime music journey at a very young
After completing a Diploma at the Turku Conservatory and Belarus Academy, Eva pursued a Master’s degree in Violon Performance at Finland’s prestigious Sibelius Academy. She then accepted a permanent seat at the Finnish National Opera.
Since moving to the UAE, Eva has been highly engaged in the UAE music scene as a Soloist, Chamber Artist and Orchestra leader. She is also a Private Instructor and Head of Strings for the National Youth Orchestra in Dubai.
She was appointed Concertmaster of the National Symphony Orchestra of the UAE in 2019.

Clara Asuaje

Clara Asuaje began her cello studies in Argentina at Bachillerato Bellas Artes and Conservatorio Gilardo Gilardi, later pursuing music composition at Universidad UnQ in Buenos Aires.
Clara performed with the Teatro Colon the UAE National Symphony and alongside artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Richard Clayderman, Beyoncé and Michael Bublé.
She currently instructs Camerata level students at the National Youth Orchestra and manages a busy private cello studio with students of all ages as well as teaching music education and cello in schools.
