Tribute to Umm Kulthum by Ghalia Benali

With a career spanning over four decades, she became a symbol and an icon of the Arab world, touching hearts with her emotional performances and unforgettable songs.

On this special occasion, Ghalia Benali, a talented and passionate singer, will bring Umm Kulthum’s classics to life with her unique style, infusing each song with her own energy and reverence. She will distill the essence of Umm Kulthum’s songs, blending tradition with a modern, intimate approach. Ghalia Benali is a Belgian-Tunisian singer, dancer, and actress. Raised in a family of artists, she was exposed to diverse musical influences, including French and Egyptian music, and the legendary Umm Kulthum. After studying in Tunisia and Belgium, she launched her career in 1996, performing with various artists and groups across genres like Arabo-flamenco, jazz, and world music. Ghalia has toured internationally and collaborated with renowned artists. Her expressive voice and powerful stage presence have earned her acclaim both as a musician and actress.
